A fond farewell

This is a sad post for me to write. But as they say, all good things must come to an end.

I remember way back in 2007, shortly after I started my own Stamp Company, I fell in love with the artistic talents of Asela Hopkins.

Asela was my first EVER guest designer. Our company was so new and I couldn't believe that someone of her calibur would even consider working with my stamps! We became good friends after that and she became part of our Stamps for a Cause design team.

As she began designing stamps for another company, I was instantly in awe of her drawing abilities. What this woman can do with a pen! WOW!

When she stepped away from illustrating, she and I began to talk and I convinced her, (more like begged her,) to design some images for me.

Every thing Asela drew blew me away. I couldn't wait to stamp with her beautiful hand-drawn art. Her very first stamp set with us was Botanical Dreams.

Although I love everything that Asela draws, I am partial to her realistic images like her flowers and fruit.

When Asela and I talked about her leaving, she explained her reasons and I totally understand. That is truly one of the things I love most about her- her honesty, integrity, dedication to her family, friends and her church. She is such a class act.

We are blessed to be able to continue to carry her beautiful line of stamps which makes me so happy because they are some of my favorites.

And, I told her that ANYtime she is ready to come back to the biz, our door is always open. She can always come home.

So, with that, I will say, thank you Asela for the last four wonderful years of talent and friendship. Although we may not be working together for a while, our friendship will NEVER end. And for that, I am the most thankful.

Hugs,

Gina K.

P.S. I will back later today to announce our April Blog Hop winners. XOXO

Another sneak peek and some news!

Whether it's retirement, graduation, scrap booking , masculine cards or getting in touch with nature, this new set will take you where you want to go!

Some changes are happening at Gina K. Designs!

Nina Brackett will be moving on to other opportunities. We wish her the best of luck in all of her many new endeavors! We'll miss you Nina! Thanks for all of the inspiration you have shared. Many of the stamp sets that Nina has designed for Gina K. Designs will continue to be available in our online store. :)

And we have a HUGE welcome to our newest design team member!

We are so excited to have the very talented Jimmi Mayo join our fantastic team of designers.
Here's a little bit about Jimmi:

"I live in Suffolk, Virginia with my husband and our 19 (omg!) year old daughter. But I'm only a transplanted Southerner, I was born in CT and a Navy brat so I've called many states "home" and still consider myself a Yankee.

We also have 2 furry daughters that we love to spend time with and spoil to death.
My day job is for a peanut shelling company, working as an Exec. Secretary and my night job is stamping as much as possible and also shopping for as many cardigans as I can possibly fit into my closet!

I love living close enough to the beach to get there as often as possible, that's where you'll find my family on the weekends whenever it's warm enough!

I also love to ride my bike, my 3rd favorite hobby after the stamping and shopping!

I am "beyond the moon" excited about being part of the Gina K. Designs team, I really look forward to SO much fun and making tons of new friends!"

We are so happy to have Jimmi on board and we know she will inspire you with her beautiful creations using Gina K. Designs/StampTV stamps.

Tomorrow, I will be sneak peeking a stamp set that will be a must-have basic in your collection.
Have a wonderful day!
Gina K.
